J ulie Reddington
Myers and Husband Martin Reddington have
been mine host at The Ash Tree since December 2008,
Julie worked at the Ash Tree for a number of years
before deciding to buy the business
Once inside the
pub, you will find, hanging from every ceiling, several
hundred authentic, whiskey jugs, ranging from common
brand names, to the more obscure brands, from all around
the world – a must see for any enthusiast or collector
You will also find, in the bar
area, a collection of old miners lamps, and several
replica artefacts from the battle of Towton 1461.
Why not pay us a
visit and enjoy the pleasures of a traditional English
pub with excellent beer and excellent food. |

The
restaurant was built in 1996 after the demand for
quality food became too high for the pub alone. The
restaurant can dine 50 people and has a friendly relaxed
atmosphere where people can enjoy their meal. The Ash
Tree has a good reputation throughout the county for
good food, The Evening Press' Eating Out complemented
the Ash Tree on its quality, value, service and
ambience. The quote "The food is quite designer but I am
pleased to say that the prices aren't" stands out in the
article. The Ash Tree can cater for everyone, nothing is
set in stone and vegetarians are superbly catered for.
The Ash Tree has a wide clientele from far afield, with
many of the customers making the half hour trip from
Leeds or York. |
